Participation fees NWO NAC 2026

Due to rising inflation and increased operational costs, NWO has had to decide to adjust the participation fees for all NWO Domain Science conferences. This change is necessary as fees have remained unchanged since 2022. Starting from the NWO NAC conference in Spring 2026, updated rates will be implemented. This adjustment allows us to maintain the high standards and quality of our conferences.

NWO finds it important to keep our congresses as affordable as possible, to keep the possibility of attending our congresses low-threshold in order to enable (unexpected) encounters, to exchange knowledge and to give young scientists the opportunity to present themselves. Therefore, we maintain a lower own contribution for PhD students/postdocs than for academic staff. Participants from industry/government pay the highest contribution.

Conference fees (per person per day)

The registration fee includes coffee/tea, lunches, dinner with drinks, and access to all the lectures, poster sessions and workshops, plus the digital book of abstracts.

BSc/MSc students (incl. HBO), PhD students & postdocs	€ 60,-
Academic staff, technicians, and HBO staff	€ 90,-
Industry and Government*	€ 150,-
Others (SURF, NLeSc, LC, TO2, NSO, ESA, etc.)	€ 90,-

Hotel fees

The hotel registration fee includes a single or double room shared per person (price per night), and includes breakfast.

Double room, shared per person per night (for: HBO/MSc/PhD students and postdocs)	€ 35,-
Single room per night (for: all other participants)	€ 50,-

Strategic dinner fee

The strategic evening registration fee includes welcome reception, dinner with drinks plus a strategic interactive programme. The strategic evening is for all group leaders and PIs, including tenure trackers.
